Midwest Pagan Council

Pan Pagan 2024 - August 9 - 11, 2024

How did the Pan Pagan Festival start?

Back in the early 70s, the Council met and discussed varioius ways they might further their purpose of fostering unity and understanding within the Pagan community. Out of the ideas discussed, the concept of hosting an outdoor gathering open to any and all Pagans, a Festival that anyone could attend no matter their tradition was agreed upon. The gathering would be a "common ground" meeting place where all Pagans could share infromation on their tradition, occult knowledge, ideas, and experiences while communing with Nature and the Lord and Lady.

The name, Pan Pagan Festival, was suggested for the gathering. "Pan" having a double meaning of both the name of a woodland God and a word signifying all-encompassing.

Thus, the Pan Pagan Festival was born!
