Founded in 1976 in Chicago, Midwest Pagan Council came together out of a desire to help build a safe and family-
friendly community for Pagans from all paths. Whether you are a part of a formal or informal group, practice a family tradition, or work as a solitary practitioner, there is a place for you in the Midwest Pagan Council to share fellowship, learn new ideas, and build connections.
That purpose continues to guide the Council today as we consider how to revitalize our organization in innovative and empowering ways that move us into the future in a way that best serves our Pagan community.
In the past, we have held festivals, picnics, public rituals, and teaching events, participated in larger community events such as Pagan Pride Day, and provided aid to Pagans affected by difficult situations. Going into the future, we want to continue to support our community through philanthropy and education as well as
host conferences, training intensives, and workshops that connect solitaires, covens, and families with like-minded people and weave the web of community in the Midwest and beyond.
